First made in 2013 this wine is a winner. It is essentially a Vintage Port. To produce a wine of this quality in a cool climate area is a credit to all concerned. The base wine is rich, and luscious with deep purple fruit predominating and then fortified with a 13 year old brandy. This wine will continue to develop over the next 30 years but to consume it now and the enjoy the tastes of the purple fruits on the lower palate and the light brandy volatiles on the top palate is a joy not to be missed.
The bright fruit and intense colour are most attractive, and, combined with the sweet, yet fresh red fruit tastes, make this fortified so absolutely delicious that it will be hard not to have a second glass.
